The Cat Ambassador holds festival to help cats . . . and their people
Come on down to CAT-A-PALOOZA and register for a chance to win great prizes by playing The Purr-ice Is Right!
The Cat Ambassador, a Haslett-based nonprofit charitable organization that helps cats—and their people—by providing financial assistance to pet owners in need, will host a fun-filled event Saturday, June 20, 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at the Bengel Wildlife Center, 6380 Drumheller Rd., Bath, Mich. The day’s activities will include raffles, games, a silent auction, vendors selling cat-related items and cat adoptions.
Silent auction items and prizes available at the event will include jewelry, cat toys, artwork, photography, books, tickets to local events, and a variety of other products donated by businesses and organizations in the community.
“The Cat Ambassador is a ‘surrender prevention’ organization,” said Laura Luptowski Seeley, Top Cat and founder of the nonprofit. “Our mission is to prevent more cats from entering the already overburdened animal shelter system when their owners feel they can no longer afford to keep them. The money we raise through events like this will go toward providing food, litter and veterinary care—including spay/neuter and microchipping—for cats whose owners can’t afford to provide adequate care for their pets, and might otherwise surrender them.”
Admission to CAT-A-PALOOZA is free, but donations (which are tax deductible) will be gratefully accepted. For more information, contact laura@thecatambassador.org, or call (517) 290-6921 or (989) 892-4381. To learn more about The Cat Ambassador, visit https://thecatambassador.org/.
